Still Have Questions?

Here are a few questions we are frequently asked at Targeted Genomics. If you don’t see your question here, visit our FAQs page or get in touch with us.

GlutenID is designed to test only the celiac risk genes supported by Level 1 (the highest Level of Evidence.) If none of the celiac risk genes are detected, the results have a negative predictive value (NPV) for celiac disease development of < 1%.

Gluten sensitivity can be caused by a number of factors including classic celiac disease. Negative antibody testing in the presence of known gluten sensitivity could be attributed to multiple factors including not consuming enough gluten prior to taking the test or non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Results are sent via encrypted email to you and/or your doctor via the email address you provided when registering your kit.
