Why test with CeliacDx?

CeliacDx Testing Services
for Physicians

CeliacDx uses the GlutenID celiac genetic risk test as a  first step in the celiac disease diagnostic pathway. In the traditional celiac diagnostic pathway serology is the first test ordered for symptomatic patients. However, serology often produces false negative results in patients not eating adequate gluten. More importantly, if the patient does not carry the DQ2 and/or DQ8 celiac risk genes,  serology has no clinical utility. People without celiac risk genes do not make tTG celiac antibodies.

CeliacDx Starts with the GlutenIDTM Genetic Test

Negative Results → Celiac disease ruled out with ~99% certainty

Positive Results → Proceed to standard serology/endoscopy

GlutenID does not diagnose celiac disease-it determines whether it is even possible. That makes GlutenID the most efficient first test in symptomatic patients, especially those already gluten-free or with inconclusive serology.

ACG and ESPGHAN recognize celiac genetic testing for:

✓ Ruling out celiac disease
 Clarifying ambiguous cases
Gluten-free patients
Family screening

For physicians, a one-page Pathology Consult signed by a board certified CeliacDx pathologist is included with the GlutenIDTM celiac genetics report.

About The GlutenIDTM Celiac Genetic Risk Test

GlutenIDTM is a saliva-based genetic test for determining whether your patient carries the genes necessary to develop celiac disease. Over 99% of people with celiac carry the HLA-DQ2 and/or HLA-DQ8 celiac risk genes. Negative GlutenIDTM results exclude the diagnosis for a lifetime avoiding unnecessary serology, gluten challenges, endoscopy, and referrals.

Symptomatic patients with positive GlutenIDTM results are genetically at risk and should proceed with standard serology and/or biopsy per guidelines.

Bottom line, GlutenIDTM is a triage tool and
not a replacement for standard diagnosis.
